Welcome

Welcome to the Website for Jules Franks, and his new album ' Can We Return to the Heart'. The new album features Jules as a singer, songwriter, multi- instrumentalist, Producer and Arranger. There were many guest singers on his last album, Jewel in the Lotus (2004), but on Can We Return to the Heart, Jules takes all the lead vocals. In many ways this gives more weight to the message contained within the lyrics of the songs, which are both personal and autobiographical, yet also Archetypal and Universal.
Can We Return to the Heart was a labour of love, and was completed over the period of about one year from the summer of 2006 to late summer 2007. The words to the songs were always written first in the form of poems, often instigated by real life events and meditations. Jules does say that a lot of his ideas for the songs came to him in those quiet times after sleep and dreams. It is very much a 'Dreamtime' album. The musical inspirations would always follow the words, and be built up over a period of weeks in the studio.
The album has a total of six tracks and is best heard as a complete
entity, but of course can be downloaded as individual tracks. Pretender
to the Throne will be released as a single (The Radio Edit version) and
will also have a video made to accompany it. Details of the official
release date for the album are detailed below. The PR team are currently
getting the music more well known
with Reviews and Radio airplay. Pretender to the Throne is already being
played extensively through local Radio Stations.
